NIVEA SKIN TINS
Skin colours still divide people all around the world. But one big skin brand stood up for diversity. NIVEA presents: The NIVEA Creme Skin Tins. For the first time in almost 100 years we changed the color of the iconic blue tin to create a special edition that represents almost every skin tone. To select the skin tones, we made a digital call to action with an Instagram story ad asking consumers to send us pictures of their own, individual skin tone. After studying all of the tones we used them to color hundreds of NIVEA Creme tins – and also the creme itself – with a natural, non-staining pigment. All tins were wrapped in specially designed packaging made to look like a skin cell when put together. The Skin Tins were available at the NIVEA House. And all of this was done to celebrate the beauty of diversity.
